If you are up on pecusa, at first glance you may have thought I speaking of the bishop of Western Kansas. But no, I am talking about the bishop of the DCNY, you know, the one that goes into traditionalist parishes and tells them he's mostly a traditionalist. It is a hard sell after his vote on VGR, but I would expect that he still adamantly protests that he is mostly traditionalist.
Voting on Forrester must be terribly difficult for the liberal bishop of the DCNY. On one hand he has to weigh how the Standing Committee is going to vote. Having been out of the DCNY for over a year, I'm not sure who's even on the SC anymore. When I was deposed the ultra-liberal Holly Eden was the president of the SC. It was fairly well stacked with other liberals as well.
So, you've got a liberal SC and a bishop who pretends to be whatever he thinks his audience wants him to be. How will he vote? I wouldn't be surprised to see him wait until the bitter end and vote with the majority after he's gotten a firm reading on how the wind is blowing.
