PRIDE PARADE PARTICIPATION Saturday June 20, 2009
Last year, three parishes of our diocese walked in the CNY Gay Pride Parade in Syracuse.
We are hoping a few more parishes may join us this year, sending both gay and straight members to walk behind a banner that simply says “THE EPISCOPAL CHURCH WELCOMES YOU.”
In 2008, each parish group held a large sign with its name and the name of their town.
Is your parish interested? There is an organizational meeting on Thursday May 7 at 7PM at Grace Church, Syracuse, 819 Madison Street.
