AKRON, OH: St. Luke's Refuses to Drop "Anglican" Affiliation Name in Property Deal

There is a new twist in property settlements being handed out by revisionist Episcopal bishops to orthodox parishes who wish to flee their grip. You can cut a deal and keep your parish, for a price of course, but you can't use the word "Anglican" on your own property.

This approach has proven successful with a number of parishes in the dioceses of Pittsburgh and Virginia where fleeing parishes have cut monetary deals to keep their properties. These deals have included dropping the "Anglican" name and any affiliation with the Anglican Church of North America (ACNA), CANA or AMiA, for up to five years in some cases.
