DENTON, TX: Anglican congregation swings doors wide to offer 'holy life'

The Rev. Thomas McGee, pictured June 5 at Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Denton, is leading a small flock of Anglicans who hope to grow into a new congregation in Denton.
The Rev. Thomas McGee said he started thinking about planting an Anglican congregation in Denton when his second daughter went off to the University of North Texas.
McGee grew up in Denton, and his father was a Methodist minister in the city. When his daughter enrolled at UNT, Denton felt like a much bigger place than it used to - like a small town with a growing metropolitan feel.
