The Cost of Being a Christian

Craig Richter, a well-respected principal at Foothill Elementary School in Goleta, California, appeared in a short video promoting a community prayer breakfast to honor school teachers. Even though Craig endorsed this prayer event as a private citizen, he was demoted by his school district and punished with a pay cut.

For decades, radical, anti-Christian groups have perpetuated the myth that the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution requires a so-called “separation of church and state.” Although this term is not found anywhere in the U.S. Constitution, Christians are increasingly being silenced and punished for expressing their faith and beliefs.
