ARE YOU THERE, NATCAT?

It’s me. God:

A crane toppled at the National Cathedral this morning, sending one person to the hospital, damaging two out-buildings and crushing several vehicles.

DC Fire/EMS Battalion Chief John Donnelly said one person was taken to the hospital but he did not have not have more information on the extent of the person’s injuries.

The crane was lifting supplies to the to of the cathedral at 3101 Wisconsin Ave. as part of the ongoing earthquake repair when without warning it collapsed at 10:55 a.m.

“We don’t know why it collapsed,” Donnelly said. Wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph were reported in the area at the time of accident.

The operator was inside the crane when it fell but he reportedly walked away from the crash. A person was also reportedly in one of the vehicles that was damaged.

First an earthquake, for crying out loud, and now this. Just sayin’, NatCat.
