Are the mainline Protestant splinter churches a new Reformation or old news?

[Ed. Note:  A new Reformation or  just more Mainline denominational splintering that will not end well in the long run?  The history in TEC is abysmal with the several thousand people who left over the radical changes in the Prayer book  and women's ordination in the 1970's now comprising more than 35 separate jurisdictions, few of which are viable.  As the article notes, the recent decision by the Anglican Mission to separate from Rwanda, their Anglican Communion affiliation, has raised eyebrows and doubts again about seeking and finding or establishing  a "better" jurisdiction than the one you just left.   However, the author again misplaces the reason for the latest batch of Anglicans leaving TEC.  It is not over the Robinson consecration.  It is over the denial and intentional walking away from the authority of Scripture and rebellion against the "Faith once delivered to the Saints."  TEC will pursue the gay issue until a new innovation comes along that must be explored.  This is also true of the Presbyterians, the Lutherans and all other denominations.   Maybe we will know within my lifetime if this is truly a new Reformation or just more humans convinced they "know better".  Cheryl M.
