I have received a report of how the DCNY is managing the Community Center property of the former St. Andew's, Vestal. They continue to rent space to an Irish Dance studio, but have not provided space for two groups.
One group that was denied space is the Cub Scouts. We know that the Boy Scouts organization does not allow homosexual leaders because of their beliefs about being morally straight and the possible risks involved for the boys. Could this have anything to do with DCNY's decision not to provide them meeting space?
The second group was Birthright which had a valid contract to use the space for an event. Birthright is pro-life, and pecusa is often aggressively pro-abortion. Could this have anything to do with DCNY's decision to void their contract?
I am sure that DCNY would say that neither decision was politically motivated, but a fair minded person might ask why Irish Dancers are acceptable while Cub Scouts and Birthright are not?
