It's almost over

The Presiding Bishop has been saying lately that the worst is over for pecusa. Prior to this mantra the P.B.'s mantra was that the losses to pecusa were insignificant. When the membership and Sunday attendance figures came out for 2004 and each year thereafter it was clear to the veracity-challenged P.B. that her first mantra was untenable. The stats showed thousands of members leaving pecusa and attendance figures plummeting at a significant rate. It was clear to the P.B. that something had to change, so the second mantra was adopted.

The losses for 2007 were not at the level for 2006 and 2005, so there may have been a veneer of truth covering the P.B.s new mantra, but what about 2008? In 2008, pecusa lost entire dioceses - four of them. After the General Convention brokers in more of the gay agenda you can expect a pick-up in the number of individual parishes leaving pecusa and the possibility of more dioceses leaving. Would anyone like to guess what the next mantra from the P.B. will be?
