Sarah Hey discovers Patrick Reardon

Sarah Hey at Stand Firm posted a piece from PHR and this was one of the comments:

At the risk of being accused of shameless self-promotion, I will mention (since it may be of interest to those who know Patrick Reardon) that he will be teaching a two-week course in Nashotah House’s summer school, in July, entitled, “The Book of Exodus and the Liturgical Life of the Church,” in which Fr. Reardon will be drawing on his forthcoming commentary on the Book of Exodus. The course is available as a part of Nashotah’s D.Min. program, but may be taken simply as continuing education as well.

Patrick Henry Reardon was one of my professors at seminary in the 80s. He taught Old Testament, Church History, and Pastoral Care. He also hung out at lunch in the Common Room, which made him a bit different than most of the professors. I will always have a strong endearment for PHR and I am thankful for his influence on my life. Besides being brilliant, PHR held an unofficial title that was something like the Teddy Roosevelt Professor of Pastoral Care. ed.
