Readers take notice

In the posts regarding yesterday's meeting of the Anglican Consultive Council, there are a few issues that are uppermost, at least in the mind of your humble blogger.

One, when the ABC talks about the continuation of the moratoria, it should be noted that the ACC has dropped the fourth moratorium. There are now three, and the one dropped was the one that called for a cessation of litigation by pecusa. At the press briefing it was asked why this had been dropped and the illuminating answer was "I don't know.

Two, please read Vinay Samuel's assessment of the Indaba process. He clearly and convincingly shows why the use of Indaba by the Anglican Instruments of Unity is a misuse of the process.

Three, you won't want to miss the section on how money has corrupted the processes of the Anglican Communion.

Fourth, there are some sharp assessments of the current crisis that was precipitated by pecusa and the Anglican Church of Canada. pecusa continues to act as if there is only a minimal problem, not a crisis. We see this in an ENS question at the press briefing. The press flack asked why the current crisis couldn't be handled like women's ordination was handled.

There's plenty to read today,so I won't delay you any longer.
