An official of the DCNY told an inquiring reporter that the former building of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd has not been sold to Muslims. The Anglican Curmudgeon tracked this down and reports that due to New York religious incorporation law the sale will first have to go through the Attorney General's office (see post below). So, did the DCNY lie about the sale? Or were they correct in saying there is no sale because the sale has not yet been approved by the AG's office? You make the call.
It is clear that the DCNY prefers the passionate presence of Allah in 74 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton to the passionate presence of Christ that was emanating into the neighborhood thanks to the ministries of the Anglican Church of the Good Shepherd.
