I was driving through the environs of the Diocese of Newark yesterday. Turns out that St. Mark's in West Orange, once known as the mother church of the Oranges, is now an Hispanic Free Methodist Church. A bit of history on St. Mark's - the church was on the brink of closure a number of years ago when Fr. Harry Smith arrived and through his ministry the church was put on a path of growth. The brilliant DoN followed Fr. Smith's ministry with a lesbian priest living in the rectory with her lover. I don't know when St. Mark's was closed and sold to the Free Methodists, but once again we see the power of the false gospel of inclusion. The piece that follows is from a lesbian priest of the DoN. ed.

I've been noticing an interesting trend in the church of late.
There seem to be a lot of clergy "in transition" these days.
That's not so unusual this time of year. Clergy - especially those with children - often make their move in the late Spring / early Summer. Good for the kiddies to start the new school year.
In this economy, clergy are often looking at dismal financial forecasts and making their move before the new program year begins.
