Dr. Robert Gagnon replies to Andrew Marin

Last week, I wrote about my concerns with Andrew Marin, the author of "Love is an Orientation". In that post I linked to Dr. Robert Gagon's exegetical critique of Marin's book. Marin did not respond well to Dr. Gagnon's criticism, choosing to go personal rather than addressing the substance of Dr. Gagnon's article. And today Marin seems to have found a way to set himself in the role of victimized martyr.

In any case, this Monday, Dr. Gagnon sent the following to a number of people by email:
I have just posted: “Marin Responds to Critique with Character Attack and Circle-the-Wagons Approach; Followers ‘Share the Love’” at http://robgagnon.net/ArticlesOnline.htm. For a direct link go to http://robgagnon.net/articles/homosexMarinsReaction.pdf.

Little did I know when I wrote “Truncated Love: A Response to Andrew Marin’s Love Is an Orientation, Part 1” (http://www.robgagnon.net/articles/homosexMarinLoveIsOrientation.pdf) that the reaction of Marin and his followers would itself become something to assess.

As usual, feel free to share this with others and even to post.

Blessings,

Rob
