LITTLE ROCK, AR: Bishop Alex Dickson Joins the Board of Directors of Anglican School of Ministry

The Anglican School of Ministry (ASM) is pleased to announce that the Rt Rev. Alex D. Dickson, D.D., the first Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of West Tennessee (consecrated 1983 and retired 1994), has joined the Board of Directors of ASM.

Bishop Dickson served as a Founding Member and Vice-President of the American Anglican Council and was an Episcopal advisor to the First Promise Movement. He was a co-consecrator of Bishops Chuck Murphy and John Rodgers in Singapore in 2000. He was also a co-consecrator of Bishops Barnum, Greene, Johnston, and Weiss for the Anglican Mission in America in Denver, Colorado in 2001.

He participated in the formation of the Common Cause Council of Bishops, which resulted in the formation of the Anglican Church in North America. He has a deep commitment to support efforts that enable and encourage all the various expressions of orthodox Anglicanism to work together in unity.
