CA: TEC Church Hosts Coming Out Day Event |
Source: Long Beach Gazettes October 7, 2010 Music, stories and prayer will be part of the National Coming Out Day Celebration at 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 525 E. Seventh St. The evening features people's coming out stories as they relate to personal faith. The Right Reverend Diane Jardine Bruce, the first woman elected suffragan bishop by the Diocese of Los Angeles will preside and offer the sermon.... After the service, there will be a buffet and youth ministers will be on hand to speak to young people about sexuality and religion. The event is sponsored by Totally Inclusive and Diverse Episcopalians (T.I.D.E.), a ministry of St. Luke's, and Episcopal Fellowship of Lesbians, Gays and Straights (E.F.L.A.G.S) of St. Wilfred's Episcopal Church of Huntington Beach....
