The Anglican District of the Northeast met this past Sunday and Monday in its second synod since being recognized at the 2009 CANA Council. The district consists of nine parishes and one affiliate congregation with two church plants in the works. Attendance at the synod was up 20% from last year.
The main speaker was the Rev. Nigel Mumford who led a healing service and spoke about starting a healing ministry in the local parish.
This synod was the final meeting led by Bishop David Bena who is entering partial retirement. He will continue to lead the Anglican District of Virginia.
