Liberals and the Tea Party

Liberals are worried. The Tea Party movement is immense and liberals are still an endangered species even though they control government, the media, and college faculties. The comparison pictures between the Beck rally in August on the Mall in D.C. and the more recent liberal rally on the Mall are instructive. For the Beck rally there were people in every nook and cranny of the aerial photo. For the liberal rally huge empty green areas were noticeable. America continues to be a center-right country and this makes liberals really mad.

pecusa liberals and others worry about abortion rights and gay inclusion. They want more government and more government handouts. As in all things, liberals want to control more areas of your life. So, conservative Christians and the Tea Party are enemies. It really does come down to that, sad to say. The prospects of many democrats losing their congressional and Senate seats is hard for them to stomach.

To our liberal friends I say prepare yourselves. While Obama, Pelosi, and Reid are still in office, a great shake-up is coming. I hope that when conservatives return to majorities in the House (and hopefully the Senate) civility can one day be embraced again. I don't hold out a lot of hope on that score, since liberals will still control the media, but it doesn't hurt to hope.
