[Diocese of Springfield] 17 Standing Committees Which Did NOT Consent To Dan Martin’s Election
I've gotten an interesting scrap of intel from an unofficial but fairly reliable source -- the names of at least 17 dioceses whose Standing Committees did *not* consent to Dan Martin's election.
This is important stuff.
For one thing, conservatives in those dioceses need to consider the people who serve on those Standing Committees, and their parishes, and ask what they can do to increase awareness of the actions of their Standing Committees. It'd also be a good idea to look through the list of names on your Standing Committee and attempt to figure out who voted how -- because not all the Standing Committee votes declining to consent were unanimous.
Plus, it's always good to know which diocesan power structures are rank hypocrites in their claims to be inclusive and loving. We know -- by simply looking at who did not consent to the election of a traditional bishop who has made it crystal clear that he is staying in TEC -- who the hypocrites and the fascists are.
They're willing to reject a traditional priest in TEC becoming a bishop full stop -- because they don't like his theology.
Here's the list of some of the Diocesan Standing Committees who did not consent to Dan Martin's election:
Arkansas
Arizona
California
East Carolina
Eastern Oregon
El Camino Real
Idaho
Lexington
Los Angeles
Louisiana
Maine
Massachusetts
Milwaukee
Minnesota
Montana
San Joaquin
Southwest Florida
