Decisive Anglican Schism: To Be or Not To Be?

The Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams may be the only person in the world that believes that an Anglican schism has not occurred. Williams describes the Anglican Communion's condition this way: "Of course, there is a critical situation in the Communion. Nobody would deny that. But that critical situation has not ended relationships, often very cordial and constructive, between Churches within the Communion." Williams maintains the Anglican Communion is not suffering from schism. It is only a "critical situation" with relationships still "cordial and constructive." The world believes otherwise.
