I thought the term "sustainable future" smacked of hyperbole when I read Virtue's editorial following the announcement by The Episcopal Church Office of Public Affairs of a fifteen million dollar capital campaign to endow a new College for Bishops.
At first glance I thought they must be talking about the college of bishops. Shows how out of touch I am. For nearly two decades there's been a college for bishops underwritten by the General Convention, and now it's time to make that institution immune to the fickle whims of the marketplace.
