An article titled "Neighboring Parish to Help St. David's Rebuild" recently appeared in a local news blog, obviously scripted by TEC. The article described in glowing terms how the TEC parish of St. Paul's, Mt. Lebanon was going to supply clergy and support to reconstitute a parish in the building that they have usurped from the Anglicans who built the place. Says St. Paul's rector, "We will be welcoming all who want to know and love God. Our focus will be on the Gospel of Jesus Christ, who invites us to look beyond our differences and to be reconciled and healed." This from the people who deny the Gospels and the Creeds, the people who believe that Scripture can be re-interpreted at will.

Deceit is a dark and sinister force. It is bad when perpetrated upon others; it is worse when inflicted upon oneself.

When I read this deceitful article, I was tempted to respond to both the blog and to TEC. That feeling has now passed. They are simply not worth the effort. We have tried for many years to convince them of the apostasy of their beliefs and have not succeeded. That is something that will ultimately confront them on Judgment Day. Their secular actions with regard to property issues are, at best, despicable, vile, and evil but those are the properties of Satan who has become their false god.
