The long-awaited Soper Trust trial that was scheduled to begin on December 18, 2012, has been deleted from the Maryland court calendar.
On December 12, 2012, the Diocese of Washington, PNC Bank, and the judge in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland held a pre-trial conference. Immediately following the meeting, a court official removed the Soper Trust trial from the court docket. It appears that an out-of-court settlement might be in the making.
