Thank you, Tim Keller

When I hear liberals raise the shellfish argument or its variations I wonder whether they've ever read the New Testament.  Particularly, I wonder if they are acquainted with the Books of Acts and Hebrews.  The shellfish argument is really silly given what the New Testament has to say on the ceremonial law, but too many liberals seem to miss this.

Bible illiteracy is not just a fault of the left, but you'd think that the shellfish argument would be dead by now given the ridicule that liberals have received because of their use of it.

It must be very difficult to be a liberal.  All too often liberalism has to brush up with reality, and that has to be painful.  Unfortunately for liberals, orthodox Christianity has people like Tim Keller, Robert Gagnon, and Alistair McGrath.  Who do liberals have?  John Spong, Dominic Crossan, and  Marcus Borg.  It just isn't fair.
