Western Anglicanism holds in its God-given store of historic resources many strengths that are not being exerted in a time when it is imperative and urgent that all that is possessed within its rich heritage should be on full display for the glory of God and the welfare of sinners. It is supine and suffering, ineffectual and effete, because it has forgotten its grounding in the mighty grace of God and its foundation in the faith of Holy Scripture. Anglicanism is severed from its lifeline. It is fractured, faint, and faltering because it has wandered far from its origin in the oracles of God and its roots in the Reformation. It has lost the holy boldness that is given exclusively to those who resolve to stand for truth.
