Ex-Episcopal Priest Settles Lawsuit with Former Lawyer over charges of Defamation and Fraud

Just days before trial was to start, and after a jury had been selected, the Rev. David L. Moyer the deposed former priest of the Episcopal Anglo-Catholic parish of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Rosemont, PA, reached a confidential settlement with his former attorney John H. Lewis Jr. in the lawsuit brought by Lewis charging Moyer and the other defendants with, among other things, bringing abusive litigation against Lewis.
Lewis' lawsuit against Moyer and certain of his followers was based on Moyer's decision to bring a baseless malpractice lawsuit against Lewis and his law firm after Moyer lost his personal injury suit for damages against the Rt. Rev. Charles E. Bennison, the former Bishop of the Diocese of Pennsylvania.
