Debate is between naturalism and theism

Has philosophy run its course, asks American analytic philosopher Alvin Plantinga? Not necessarily, but science and religion is where the conflict really lies today, said the distinguished Christian philosopher.

The alleged conflicts between science and religion are just that alleged, he told 660 mostly Anglican Christians at a Science, Faith and Apologetics symposium put on by Mere Anglican 2014.

Contemporary evolutionary theory is not incompatible with theistic belief, says Plantinga, one of the most important living philosophers of religion who has been credited with helping revive Christian philosophy.
