I plan to read Dr. Michael Brown’s book responding to the Strange Fire conference and book by John Macarthur, but the fact that Michael Brown so recently legitimized Benny Hinn’s ministry by appearing on his show exemplifies, as Justin Peters pointed out, one of the main thrusts of Strange Fire, that there is a serious lack of discernment among even the most respectable Charismatic leaders (like Brown).

It makes me about as wary of trusting Michael Brown’s ability to identify and deal with error as I would be wary of an Anglican leader who sits down and wages reconciliation with an Episcopal Bishop who promotes same sex blessings.

Of course, there is such an Anglican leader, the Archbishop of Canterbury, and, no surprise, he hales from one of the premier charismatic churches in England, Holy Trinity Brompton.
