Rescuing Pastoral Care From Revisionist Hijackers

The Church of England's Pilling Report into human sexuality, with its proposal that clergy be allowed to offer prayers for same-sex couples, has unquestionably legitimized the notion that being 'pastoral' towards LGBT people means affirming their chosen sexual behaviour. So there is now a crying need clearly to rescue 'pastoral care' from the postmodern, therapeutic, morally relativist conceptual framework of campaigning Anglican revisionists.

For example, theologically liberal political think tank, Ekklesia, has just a produced a response to Pilling called 'Edging towards accepting diversity', which asserts:
