The Diocese of the Niger, Anglican Communion yesterday renewed its war against same sex marriage in any part of the world even as it expressed sadness at the exclusion of Bishop Samuel Ajayi Crowther in the list of prominent Nigerians honoured by the Federal Government during centenary celebration.
Speaking during a presidential address to mark the 29th Synod of the Diocese at St. Monicas Anglican Church, Woliwo, Onitsha, the Bishop of the Niger, Rt Rev Owen Nwokolo said the church has risen against any thing that is contrary to the Christian faith especially same sex marriage.
Bishop Nwokolo while admonishing Christians to hold on to their faith said the church was passing through turbulent times, adding that only those who are faithful to the teachings of Christ will be saved.
