Reflections on the NYPenn Franklin Graham Festival

Franklin Graham and the entire NYPenn Franklin Graham Festival rocked the Greater Binghamton area this weekend with nearly 400 churches working together and over 27,000 people attending the four meetings of the festival. Two Episcopal Churches were participating congregations: St. Andrew's in Vestal and Good Shepherd in Binghamton. Right now, I can say that it is likely that the Festival is the greatest joint effort of churches in our area ever. In addition to churches in Greater Binghamton, churches in Oneonta, and other outlying areas supported the Festival. Some of those who made first-time commitments to Jesus Christ traveled from as far away as New York City.

The not-yet-official statistics:

First-time commitments to Jesus Christ - 1462
Recommitments - 394
Total Attendance - 27,613
