Whither DCNY?

A regular reader of the DCNY blog has suggested that it's time to turn a corner. As I said in a recent post there isn't a lot going on in the DCNY these days and this has been reflected in the paucity of news coverage of the actions of the DCNY. No persecutions (that I know of) of priests trying to clean up the aftermath of sexual abuse by a former rector in the DCNY, no new layoffs at diocesan house (that I know of), I haven't heard of recent church closings, the closing of Thornfield is really old news... Let's face it, the DCNY is a spent force.

So, my regular reader has suggested a change in focus. Something like Declaring Christ in New York. I've thought about Anglican Futures as the blog heading as the ACNA moves forward in planting a thousand new churches in five years. There are positive stories outside the DCNY and pecusa (another spent force). I'll be looking for them. We can't completely ignore the implosion of the DCNY or pecusa, but I will keep an eagle eye out for the work of Christ as it grows through the ACNA.
