The "tyranny of God"? I guess he's referring to those places in the bible where God says and does things that Michael Curry doesn't like. Annoying that God seems so inflexible. He'd be much more popular if he paid more attention to cultural context.
I agree with him about one thing. Religiously, philosophically, and morally, North American culture is certainly becoming less and less identifiably Christian. It may not be a Jesus Moment, but it is truly an Episcopal Moment.
