All Saints’ Church Opens New Facility in Woodbridge
Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic Joins in Celebration
WOODBRIDGE, Va. (October 6, 2011) – All Saints’ Church joined with the Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic in celebrating the opening of its new facility in Woodbridge. The new church located at 14851 Gideon Drive in Woodbridge, Va., not only houses a larger sanctuary, but also expanded room for children, youth and adult ministries in addition to church offices.
All Saints’ is holding a weekend-long community celebration October 7-8 to mark the occasion. There will be a classic car show, Christian music concerts, moon bounces for children, food concessions and activities for the whole family. On Saturday morning, October 8 at 10:00 am there will be a dedication and consecration service for the new church officiated by Bishop John Guernsey of the Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic. “This new building is a testament of the Lord’s faithfulness to His people. This is not our physical structure or our celebration; it is an opportunity to share our excitement about what the Lord is doing in our midst. It’s gratifying to see something we’ve prayed and hoped for come to fruition,” said Fr. Daniel Morgan, head pastor of the church.
The Rt. Rev. John Guernsey, Bishop of the Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic, said, “Having served as rector of All Saints’ for 29 years, I have witnessed first-hand this congregation’s passion for the Lord’s purpose. This group of believers has demonstrated great faith that through Christ all things are possible. The whole Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic joins with All Saints’ in celebrating and praying for this new facility.”
In addition to All Saints’ ministry that is housed within the church walls, the congregation has allotted space for the offices of the Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic, a new member diocese of the Anglican Church of North America.
“I’m praying that God would magnetize this place so thousands would come and be blessed by a transformational relationship with Jesus as we love, grow and serve our community together,” Fr. Morgan concluded.
The church holds services each Sunday that vary from traditional to contemporary in style. It also offers Sunday school each week for all ages in addition to a plethora of outreach and service opportunities.
