AMIA train wreck

I hope that all readers of the DCNY blog will read Bp. Anderson's words below.  There has been much speculation about the situation in the AMIA and its relationship to the Anglican Church in Rwanda.  I have purposely not commented on this situation and I have long ago ceased to read comments on the other Anglican blogs in the U.S.  The great bulk of comments are shared ignorance and the whole situation that is unfolding with the AMIA is certainly not helped by blog comments.  Fr. Quigg Lawrence did make a comment that is apropos:

The Rev. Dr. Quigg Lawrence wrote at one blog, "We believed that Journalism 101 - Report
verified facts with wisdom. Do not become the story and do not frame the facts to create a
sensational piece. Tell the whole truth. Give every side a fair chance to speak and to respond.Do not publish every 'fact' that some hacked off person puts in your hand. Be willing to wait and do not make 'getting a story' the highest priority. DO NO HARM to the cause of Christ. The
Lord will hold you accountable for 'every idle word'. REALLY. By striking contrast, I noticed
that veteran reporter David Virtue has been completely patient in his reporting on these
matters thus far." [from VirtueOnline]

Please pray for the AMIA and the Anglican Church in Rwanda.  The current situation is sad, but hopefully some good can come out of it.  Your prayers are what is most needed at this time.
