Three weeks ago, Georgia's Supreme Court ruled that the Episcopal Church and not the Congregation of Christ Church owned the building where they have been worshipping since their split from the diocese in 2007.
Sunday's service was the last benediction from the porch of the building on Johnson Square for the congregation of Christ Church.
To mark the occasion of their last service, the communion gifts of bread and wine were carried by four generations who've worshipped on the groaning floors and creaking pews.
