HOUSTON, TEXAS---Monday dawned cold. The weak winter sun hung low in the sky as the temperatures rose to merely chilly while I drove to Houston for the Ordinariate's first scheduled news conference. I was looking forward to this media event with great expectations.
I was on assignment for Virtueonline and was anticipating returning the news conference at Our Lady of Walsingham Anglican Use Catholic Church where the Rev. Jeffrey Steenson would be formally introduced to the local press. I have been fortunate enough to cover other Anglican Use events at Our Lady of Walsingham and have thoroughly enjoyed the church's architecture, ambiance, prayerful atmosphere along with its Anglican heritage and rootedness. It is always comforting to hear the Elizabethan "thees" and "thous" of the various Anglican Use liturgies from the Book of Divine Worship echoing through the worship space at OLW.
