The Lies at Lambeth

From David Virtue (posted below):

Liberal and Revisionist American bishops here are putting it about that it is orthodox TEC parishes who are suing liberal dioceses for their properties and not the other way round. A VOL reader told me that all the bishops are saying this to whoever will listen. They are trying desperately to put the spin out there that they are the victims of orthodox parishes. "It is terrible. They are lying like crazy to keep the Lambeth Conference together. They want to make orthodox parishes under siege for wanting to hold fast to the faith the enemy of the diocese and the Episcopal Church."

DCNY comment: It is amazing and sad that bishops would lie to support their unbiblical position. Parishes aren't suing dioceses for their property; dioceses are suing parishes. The Diocese of Central NY has sued two parishes to date, St. Andrew's, Syracuse and Good Shepherd, Binghamton. No church in this diocese or any diocese has sued a diocese for their property.

It is a shame that bishops will lie to cover their hides. Fr. Matt Kennedy reports that on a videotape produced by Trinity Wall Street and shown at Lambeth, Thomas Shaw, Bishop of Massachusetts, looks into the camera and declares that he is a conservative. Just amazing! It wasn't that long ago that Bp. Skip came to a meeting with the vestry of St. Andrew's, Vestal and declared that he was pretty traditional. Does anyone believe that he says this at Trinity Memorial or in the presence of Holly Eden? Bishops and lies shouldn't go together, but they do in pecusa.
