The OT prohibition on wearing mixed fibers

This is one of the issues that is raised about living biblically, but unfortunately this issue shows the ignorance of those who raise it. A.J. Jacobs in his book The Year of Living Biblically explains a Jewish term that pertains to the mixed fiber prohibition in the Old Testament. The word is Shatnez and there are actually Shatnez testers.

Jacobs recounts how a Mr. Berkowitz came to his home to inspect his clothing for mixed fibers. As Jacobs explains, the prohibition is only found in Deuteronomy 22:11 and it pertains only to mixing wool and linen. Jacobs reports that wearing poly-cotton blends and Lycra-spandex blends are acceptable.

So, let's dispose of the mixed fibers argument in the same refuse bin as the shellfish argument.

Also Lev 19:19. You might be familiar with Lev due to certain other high-profile conservative talking points.
