ACNA Archbishop Robert Duncan Sees the Future

Addressing Fort Worth diocesan clergy at the church of the Holy Apostles, Fort Worth, Archbishop Duncan, leader of the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA), spelled out possible outcomes for the crisis ridden Anglican Communion.
After describing the failure of the "Instruments of Communion" to discipline The Episcopal Church and associated Provinces for their continued gay rights advocacy, Archbishop Duncan outlined three possible scenarios for global Anglicanism.
The first was bleak, entailing the disintegration of the Communion. Primates who lead the largest Provinces of the Communion "might be tempted to go it alone," the Archbishop stated, adding, "In a country with one hundred and sixty dioceses (Nigeria) there is a temptation to build the Church where we are and the Anglican Communion can fall apart."
