Egyptian Bishop Mouneer Anis Rips New Arians

Speaking after Archbishop Duncan at the Diocese of Fort Worth's Clergy Day on September 20, Mouneer Anis, Anglican Bishop of Egypt, with North Africa and the Horn of Africa, laid into liberal Anglicans, comparing them to Arian heretics.
"A Church that compromises the Faith is the Church that will be ruined," stated Anis, after describing the fate of the Arians of Alexandria who refused to believe in the divinity of Christ and subsequently disappeared with the Muslim invasions of the seventh century.
For the Bishop of Egypt, this same outcome is being borne out in The Episcopal Church's (TEC) steadily declining membership and increasing marginalization in the Anglican Communion. Referring to the latest meeting of the Council of Anglican Provinces in Africa (CAPA), at Entebbe, Uganda, Anis stated that TEC "was not really welcome," despite being allowed a presence at the event.
