On Friday, Jan. 14, at 9 a.m., Motions for Summary Judgment by the opposing parties will be heard by Judge John Chupp. As you know, The Episcopal Church and their local supporters have sued us for all of our buildings, property and assets.
Their attorneys will be arguing that they should get it all, because the court should defer to TEC in this controversy. Our attorneys will argue from neutral principles of law, based on the state laws in Texas, that our Diocese and Corporation are entitled to prevail in all matters concerning property and assets.
