My great-grandfather had a habit that was often the source of levity whenever family gathered. Every time he purchased a new pair of shoes (he called them brogans), he would say, “Daughta, this is the laaasst pair of brogans your old Pappa will ever buy.” Of course, Pappa didn’t leave his earthly home until he was close to 90, so we heard that comment quite often throughout the years. I really hope that Billy Graham calling this his last message to America is like those brogans.

Those who take the time to click on the link and listen will hear once again a man who is not ashamed of calling on the name of Jesus. He is not afraid of the truth. Oh that our modern day preachers were so bold. Billy Graham is proof positive that preaching the real Gospel Message is the only evangelism program a church ever needs.
What a blessing that this man of God does not shy away from the hard things. May God bless us with many more willing to follow in Billy Graham’s footsteps - not because of his success - but because he was not afraid to place his feet where Jesus tread.
