Today the DCNY blog has reached an Alexa blog ranking of 5,588,113. The DCNY blog was created to be a counter-force to the propaganda machine of the Diocese of Central New York. My intention was to reach parishioners in the DCNY with something that wasn't filtered through the public relations firm that the DCNY hired when Bp. Adams was seeking to depose Fr. David Bollinger. For the record, Fr. Bollinger was exonerated by the diocesan ecclesiastical court.
Since that time I have sought to support St. Andrew's, Syracuse and Good Shepherd, Binghamton as they defended themselves against the legal and p.r. onslaught from Bp. Adams and his sycophants. I've expanded the scope of the DCNY blog since St. Andrew's, Syracuse, Good Shepherd, and my own parish, St. Andrew's, Vestal have left the Diocese of Central NY.
So, the readership of the DCNY blog has expanded so much (ha) that it has left the catch-all category of low readership blogs. Or maybe Alexa has begun to reach further down into the deepest recesses of the blogosphere. The DCNY blog is still a low readership blog, but now it has its own number. Whatever this means, I'm chuckling.
