Over on the Chicago church closing thread, Paradoxymoron comes up with a very apt description of The Episcopal Church as currently led . . .

What I find the most interesting in this, and the Tonawanda NY/St Bart’s example, is how callous that TEO is to its own clergy, throwing them under the bus. Really, the liberal church is a multi-level marketing scheme, where middle-aged women are parted from their divorce settlements by phoney-baloney theology schools, for what turn out to be short-term jobs propping up edifices, and justifying bishops’ pensions.
