NEW JERSEY: Building 'new life' into former Episcopal house of worship

New Life Body of Christ International Church now occupies the building at 393 Washington Ave., where the Christ Episcopal Church was housed before merging with a Clifton congregation. New Life's 3-year-old, non-denominational, evangelical congregation opened its doors in Belleville last December.
According to Elder Tracy Davis, assistant pastor, New Life expanded beyond the capacity of its former home on North 6th Street in Newark, hence precipitating the move to Belleville. Since that move, the congregation has continued to grow, with "certainly over 100 members," said Davis.
